| I was introduced to art as a young child by my motherwho helped create in this young budding artist an appreciation of art. I continued on with art lessons through Marie Hull, a leader in the field,and later at the Art Institute of Chicago. I studied art education at Memphis State and did graduate work in art therapy from the University of Louisville. I lived in Tampa Florida for twenty-seven years. I was active in the Old Hyde Park Art Association, Dunedin Art Center, and Florida Watercolor Society. Since moving to Metairie LA in 2001, I have been active in the local artists' community, including being an officer in the New Orleans Art Association. I also currently belong to the Metairie Art Guild, Louisiana Watercolor Society, and St. Charles Art Guild. I annually participate in the Pirates Alley Art Show and have shown in numerous juried art exhibits. I currently teach art classes and have some of my works displayed at Ambiance Custom Framing, in Luling. |
